Heatwave Woes:
Illustrating the Effects of Extreme Heat on Your Body
I had the pleasure of collaborating with the New York Times on an article by Dana Smith titled "What Extreme Heat Does to Your Body." This article presents medical facts and discusses the impact of climate change on our bodies. As heat waves become more common, it's important to understand why heat can be so dangerous and who is most at risk for heat-related illnesses. The article explains what happens inside your body when it gets too hot.
Accompanied my illustrations and animations, the article aims to emphasize how the body responds to extreme heat, from the inside out.
