My illustration explores the entire ecosystem we need to care for—from urban to rural life, protecting and regenerating nature, responsible fishing, the vital role of veterinarians, and the scientific research that safeguards us all.
This illustration is part of "Sketching Antimicrobial Resistance," a project bringing together 30 illustrators from 30 European countries to raise awareness about AMR by combining art and science. Each illustration tells a piece of our shared story: the importance of preserving antimicrobials. The artwork highlights the need for responsible medicine use in human and animal health, good hygiene and vaccination practices, and proper medicine disposal to reduce AMR spread in the environment—and its impact on our daily lives.
Because taking care of our antibiotics means taking care of life itself.
